The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Ponte di Serravalle, with its rose window and painted stained glass, is a place of faith and tradition.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, built at the request of parish priest Pietro Cappelli and opened for worship in 1943, features a rose window in fake stone at the center of its façade, beneath which is the entrance portal topped by a double cusped lunette enclosing a mosaic depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Natural light, in addition to coming from the rose window, flows through the single windows that open on the side walls, the chapels, and the apse. All of these windows are adorned with painted stained glass depicting religious scenes and are framed with a gray border.
In 1944, Bishop Debernardi transferred the parish from the Church of San Michele in Serravalle Pistoiese to the territorial parish of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Ponte di Serravalle, assigning it part of the large parish territory of the Pieve di Santo Stefano.
